My favorite new phone app!
If you want or need to be more conscious of what you're eating day in and day out, you've got to try this new app my coworker Holly told me about. It's called MY FITNESS PAL...just go to your app store and download it on your smart phone.
When Holly first told me I was skeptical. I have put on weight...do I REALLY want to be even more aware of how I"m doing it? But this thing is wonderful for your diet! It is now habit for me to grab my phone and add whatever I ate to the day's running total. I've been following my chiropractor's advice to eat five small meals daily instead of three large ones and it's been FASCINATING to tally up the calories and see where my weight will be if I continue to eat in this healthy fashion. It's very encouraging!
If you don't need to lose weight but would like to maintain the weight you're at, this is still a great app for weight maintenance. It's eye-opening, too. It tells you at the end of each day how much you will weigh if you continue this meal choice habit. That right there can keep you in line!
