Dierks Bentley was just one of several artists who took the stage at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium last Wednesday for the noontime Nashville Showcase during the annual Country Radio Seminar put on by Universal Music Group. There seemed to be a common theme during the various performances, drinking songs. Dierks kept this theme alive when he performed "Drunk on a Plane," about a guy who bought two tickets for a vacation but only ends up using one of the seats, thanks to a breakup. Every year EA Sports puts its newest Madden video game to the test and simulates a game between the two Super Bowl contenders. This year sees the San Francisco 49ers face off against the Baltimore Ravens. The official simulation put the Ravens on top of the 49ers by a score of 27 to 24. I wouldn't use this system to place your bets though. Last year, Madden 2012 predicted that the Giants would beat the Patriots by the same 27 to 24 margin. The Giants did end up winning, but the score was 21 to 17. Madden 2011 predicted the Steelers would top the Packers 24 to 20, but the Packers hoisted the Lombardi trophy with a score of 31 to 25. Current Vegas odds favor the 49ers by just a few points.

Usually one of the first things I do every morning when I wake up is grab my iPad and see what's going on in the world. Most of the time I'm searching for a good laugh to start my day as well. I found something this morning that made me smile all day long! Here's a few tips to help you make sure your dog will not freak out this 4th of July

1-Music. Desensitize your anxious pets by playing loud music leading up to the fourth. It may take awhile, so start now. There are even DVD’s and CD’s you can buy for dogs that are firework-phobic.

2-Create a soothing environment. Close all the curtains, doors, and windows. You can even get some doggy drugs (herbs) that will calm them.

3-Call the vet. If your dog has a severe case of anxiety…call your vet for other options. They may even prescribe Xanax or Prozac or other drugs for your pooch.

4-Have an exit strategy if you’re bringing “Fido” to the show. If you absolutely have to bring your dog, have a plan. They can become quite aggressive when they get stressed.

5-Take the crate. If they get freaked out at the show, put ...

Did you ever record yourself singing as a kid? Could you imagine if somehow someone found that tape and you heard it today? That's what happened to Carrie Underwood. Carrie has a couple of demo CDs she recorded when she was 13 or 14. One is called "Broken Wing" and is full of covers of other artists' songs. If you ask me, she sounds just as good then as she does now.

It looks like Kenny Chesney has a new Brothers of the Sun tour mate other than Tim McGraw. For the first time since childhood, Kenny finally has a new puppy. He tells PEOPLE magazine that it wasn't exactly his idea though...."A friend gave him to me and said, 'Here, Kenny, you have to learn to attach to something! God's honest truth! Now, I love the guy." What's up with everyone getting a dog except for me? Chesney has also had him out in the water and he says he loves to swim. His name....Pancho, a goldendoodle.

If there is one thing I love, it's a good music festival. As you know, Bonnaroo took place over the weekend in Tennessee. As much as I wanted to I couldn't make it to the actual event, but they did offer a live online stream of all the concerts. One performance certainly caught my attention and I think it might for you as well. I was sitting outside my house yesterday talking to a few friends, grilling out and drinking a few beverages when I happened to hear the voice of Kenny Rogers singing on my iPad. I ran to check out what was going on and saw Kenny performing with the jam band, Phish. Check out this interesting collaboration below. The video quality is not the greatest, but you get the idea.
