Kenny Chesney look-a-like gets booted from a concert
Nathan Blankenship who resembles Kenny Chesney quite a bit entered LP Field in Nashville over the weekend dressed a little too much like Kenny. He says, “Here or there somebody asked to take a picture to make their friends or family think they were with Kenny or whatever, that’s fine. I don’t mind... I can’t help with the way I look.” Saturday night, a security officer approached and asked to see his ticket. Nathan explains, “Next thing I know he grabs my ticket. He says, ‘Here, can I have your ticket?’ I said here, here’s my ticket and I just thought he was going to lead me back to my seat, which I would have been fine with, but he grabs me by the arm and starts pulling me up the walkway to the very top." He said, “Is it because I wear the hat? I see a million of these hats here. I’ve worn baseball caps before and people still want to have pictures made but it’s never caused a problem. I can’t believe they think I’m actually him. Why would Mr. Chesney be in the crowd when Tim McGraw is singing?” Nathan was escorted out of the concert, and missed seeing Kenny perform all together.
Chesney's record label released a statement saying:
"Being made aware through the media that fan Nathan Blankenship was removed from the Brothers of the Sun Tour show in Nashville on Saturday night, the promoter of the show is contacting Blankenship to resolve the matter. "No one in Chesney's management or promoter camp was aware that this fan had been escorted from the show until after it had been reported by the media. Added promoter Kate McMahon: "We never want our fans to leave disappointed and we are reaching out to him to make this situation right."
Blankenship will be refunded the $200 he spent on his ticket.
