April 5

On this day in 2011, Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Lady Antebellum, Keith Urban and others offered up various memorabilia for the "EMI family 4 Japan" Ebay charity auction.

Today in 2006, Brad Paisley celebrated the number one success of his song "When I Get Where I'm going" at a park on music row.

Trace Adkins scored his first number one song with "(This Ain't) No Thinkin' Thing" today in 1997.

And on this day in 1995, Alan Jackson's album Don't Rock The Jukebox was certified quadruple platinum.

Don't Rock The Jukebox was the second studio album by  Alan Jackson. It was released on May 14, 1991, and produced five singles on the Hot Country Songs charts; the title track, "Someday", "Dallas", and "Love's Got a Hold on You", which all reached Number One, and "Midnight in Montgomery" (a tribute song to Hank Williams) which reached #3. Fellow country music artist George Jones makes a cameo on the album, singing the last line on "Just Playin' Possum," ("The Possum" is one of Jones' nicknames.)
