And on this day in 1967, Elvis Presley married Priscilla Beaulieu in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In 1967 Elvis Presley's Manager Colonel Tom Parker arranged the wedding of Elvis Presley and Priscilla Beaulieu, a woman who had been living with Elvis at Graceland since her teenage years. Elvis met Priscilla during his service for the American army while being stationed in Germany. It was love at first sight, Elvis was over the moon when he met Priscilla. Shortly after Elvis returned in America after his service ended Priscilla moved in with Elvis at Graceland. A few years went by and Elvis was convinced that Priscilla was the love of his life. In 1964 Elvis met Ann-Margret while shooting his movie "Viva Las Vegas", in which she was his co-star. It was love at first sight and they've had a passionate affair, they were a perfect match. Elvis seriously wanted to break-off his relationship with Priscilla and to start a more serious relationship with Ann-Margret, but his Manager Colonel Tom Parker convinced Elvis that would be a huge mistake and that Priscilla really was the right woman for him. Even though Elvis was in love with Ann-Margret he also deeply loved Priscilla. In 1967 The Colonel arranged the Wedding of Elvis with Priscilla in Las Vegas, many of Elvis' personal friends were not invited, The Colonel just didn't wanted them to be there. The news of Elvis' marriage came as a surprise, no-one expected Elvis to be married. For both Elvis and Priscilla it was one of the happiest days of their lives. During their marriage Elvis had a few affairs and Priscilla lost her heart with Mike Stone, her Karate instructor. In 1973 Elvis and Priscilla filed for divorce, and while walking out of the court room they were broken hearted.
