On this day in 2011, Jake Owen's third album, Barefoot Blue Jean Night, was released… Jake worked with several producers to get just the sound he wanted.

Today in 2005, Alabama And Glen Campbell were announced by the CMA as the latest inductees into the country music hall of fame.

And on this day in 2001Alan Jackson's album When Somebody Loves You was certified platinum.

When Somebody Loves You was the ninth studio album by Alan Jackson. It was released on November 7, 2000, and produced the singles "Where I Come From", "www.memory", "When Somebody Loves You", and "It's Alright to Be a Redneck."

 Critical reception to the album was mixed. AMG gave the album four out of five stars, saying "Jackson gets a vote not only for holding on to the tradition but because he is able to articulate its heart in a heartless age." While People magazine found the album "innocuous enough" and "mildly amusing," ultimately the reviewer found it "a waste of one of the most distinctive voices in country music.
