On this day in 2011, Miranda Lambert told NBC's Dateline about the fact that when she met and fell in love with her now husband, Blake Shelton, he was already a married man. She said, "I knew he was married. I knew better, like this is off- limits."

Today in 2008, John Rich was on the campaign trail making special guest appearances with Senator John Mccain .

Tim Mcgraw's "She Never Lets It Go To Her Heart" became his fourth Billboard number one song in 1996.

And on this day in 1987, Hank Williams, Jr. Told the whole World that he was "Born To Boogie" as the tune became the  most popular song in the country.

"Born to Boogie" was  written and recorded by Hank Williams, Jr.. It was the title track and lead single from his 1987 album of the same name. It was a number-one hit in both the United States and Canada.

Born to Boogie, the album, was released by Warner Bros. Records in July 1987. The title track, "Heaven Can't Be Found" and "Young Country" were released as singles. The album reached #1 on the Top Country Albums chart[2] and has been certified Platinum by the RIAA.[3] Born to Boogie also won the Country Music Association Album of the Year award in 1988.
