Brad Paisley Grants Dying Man's Wish
Such an awesome story. FOX-43 in Pennsylvania fills us in on a last wish Brad Paisley is granting:
When Brad Paisley at the Giant Center Saturday, he not only thrilled thousands of his fans, but also fulfilled an Ephrata, Lancaster County man's dying wish.
It came to Lee Feldman is a dream. After being diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer last year, he wondered what he would do with one of his most prized possessions, a custom-made guitar.
"I had this dream," Feldman said. "And I said, 'Who can I find that can play the frets off a guitar?' And the voice came out and it said, 'Brad Paisley.'"
Through friends in the music industry, Feldman's final wish got to the right people and before he knew it, he was giving Brad Paisley his beloved guitar before Paisley's concert in Hershey, PA Saturday.
Feldman learned that pancreatic cancer had already touched the singer's life in a huge way.
"He told me that his grandfather had died from pancreatic cancer," he said. "And that his grandfather was the one who taught him how to play guitar in the first place."
Feldman said Paisley told him he plans to use the guitar in a song on his next album.
"That's the greatest thing I wanted to hear. I don't want that guitar to be a trophy. I didn't want it to sit and collect dust. I want somebody to play it and that's why I gave it to him," Feldman said.
