Terre Haute's Steve Weatherford NFL Films Special To Air This Week

Posted By: Kyle West http://www.hi99.com/airstaff/kyle.aspx · 10/15/2012 8:28:00 PM

How cool is this?!?!?! I graduated with Steve back in 2001 at Terre Haute North, so it's pretty cool to see the guy I had homeroom with everyday for 4 years get so much media attention.  A portion of this NFL Films special was shot in Terre Haute this past summer.

NFL.com has details on where and when you can watch the special:

After working with Weatherford at Hard Knocks we knew he was a very charismatic guy and a phenomenal athlete, so we continued following his career as he made the move to the Giants.  Teammate Chris Canty described him as the most athletic kicking specialist in the NFL.  I would describe him as one of the best interviews I’ve done in my 8 years at NFL Films.

We shot the piece in Weatherford’s hometown of Terre Haute, Indiana.  He was home for the weekend hosting a charity 5K event.  The interview was done at his high school.  To check out the feature, tune into NFL Films Presents, airing this week at the following times (all times Eastern):

                                                             10/16 at 12:30am — ESPN2

                                                            10/17 at 2:30 pm — ESPN2

                                                           10/19 at 4:30 pm — NFL Network

                                                           10/20 at 1:30pm — NFL Network

    Kyle,

I don't know if you'll read this comment or not and I know it does not pertain to anything on here but is there anyway you could announce on the radio that there is a puppy missing in South Terre Haute (Boot City area close to the dump on Cottom Drive). He dug out of his pen with our other two dogs and we only found those 2 when we finally found them. I think that the little one may have gotten picked up by someone thinking he had been dropped off because there aren't any houses between here and the dump. If you could please do this for me I would greatly appreciate it. He is about 3 months old and is mostly black with some brown on him and has a white spot on his chest. He was wearing a blue collar when he left and his name is Hector. Thanks!!!!
