Kenny Chesney To Do ESPN Documentary
Calling all Kenny Chesney fans! Those who have followed Kenny's career knows he is a huge sports fan, and is a big supporter of the University of Tennessee. How much does he love his Vols? Enough to do a documentary on the football program:
ESPN announced that the documentary “The Color Orange: The Condredge Holloway Story,” produced by Chesney and Shaun Silva, will air Sunday at 9 p.m. on ESPNU as part of the SEC “Storied” series.
The film highlights the incredible groundbreaking career of UT quarterback Condredge Holloway. The grandson of a slave, Holloway was drafted to play baseball by the Montreal Expos, but enrolled at UT instead and wound up becoming the first African-American quarterback to start in the Southeastern Conference (1972-1974).
Chesney, a long-time fan who wore Holloway’s number in high school, narrates the film as well. This is Chesney’s second documentary that serves as an outlet for his passion for football.
After Sunday, “The Color Orange” is scheduled to run again Jan. 18 at 5 p.m. and Jan. 25 at 10 p.m.
Will you set the DVR or try to catch this live? Sounds really good!
