Fatal Accident Involving Jason Aldean's Tour Bus In Vincennes
Some sad news from the southern portion of our listening area today- a man is dead after being accidently struck by a tour bus belonging to Jason Aldean late Sunday evening.
Our friends of News 10 WTHI report:
A Vincennes man was hit and killed by country star Jason Aldean's tour bus early Monday morning.
According to the Knox County Sheriff's Department, at around 1:28 a.m., a pedestrian walked out into the middle of the road and was hit by the bus. The bus was heading northbound on US 41 North, at the intersection of Old US 41, just north of Vincennes.
The Knox County Coroner was called to the scene and pronounced the man dead. The coroner said the victim, who was later identified as Albert Kennedy, of Vincennes, died from trauma to the head and chest.
Jason Aldean released the following statement on his facebook page:
With a heavy heart, I'm sad to say that a man passed away last night after stepping out in front of my bus in Indiana. In all the years I've been touring and all the miles we've driven, nothing prepares you for something like this to happen. I'm praying for Albert Kennedy's family and friends today and ask that you do the same.
Our thoughts here at HI-99 are with the friends and family of Mr. Kennedy, and those aboard the Aldean tour bus.
