3/2 - 12/1 First Christian Church “It’s For Our Troops” Book & DVD Collection First Christian Church in Robinson, IL is collecting books, bookmarks, and DVDs to send for our troops as a form of relaxation. Drop off your books, bookmarks, and DVDs at the Hobby Lobby in Terre Haute. Items will be sent out on a monthly basis. 6/7 - 8/12 American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim The ISU Recreational Sports Department proudly offers swim lesson for all people ages 6 mnths through adults, and al skill levels from beginner to advanced swimmers. 7/30 Rally at the Bally Gerstmeyer Class of 1970 will be hosting Rally at the Bally on July 30th at the Ballyhoo from 7pm-12am in conjunction with their 40 year class reunion. Everyone’s invited to share the fun filled trip down memory lane with the class of 70. Admission is $10 which includes food, fun, music, contests, and prizes. 7pm-12am, at Ballyhoo
7/31 Ice Cream Social The North Union United Methodist Church is having an Ice Cream Social on July 31st from 4-7pm on St. road 42 east. Homemade ice-cream, pies, cakes and cookies with a free will donation. 4-7pm, at St. road 42 east
7/31 Super Saturday Full Gospel Assembly of God will be having their Super Saturday on July 31st at Spencer Park from 11am-1pm. There will be lunch, games, inflatable’s, face painting and much more. 7/31 National Dance Day Clinic and Performance World of Dance is hosting a National Dance Day Clinic and Performance, the clinic will take place on July 31st from 10am-noon with the performance at the Terre haute Rex baseball game August 4th. The cost is $20 per dancer which includes the clinic fee, shirt, hat, and the dancer’s ticket to the game. 7/31 Benefit fundraiser for Devon Monroe LeDune There will be a benefit fundraiser for Devon Monroe LeDune on July 31st from 4-8pm at the Sullivan 4-H building. A hog roast meal will be served for free will donation with live music from Tim and the Tom Cats and Warning Sign. 7/31 Dog’s Day for the United Way Dog’s Day for the United Way, a fun/fitness walk for pet owners and their pets, is on July 31st from 9-11am at the Union Hospital’s Professional Building. 8/7 Farmersburg Old Settlers All Wheels Show Anything is welcome: Cars, trucks, tractors, bikes, engine displays, ect. Registration fee of $10. Proceeds go to the Farmersburg Festival Scholarship Fund. Dash plaques to the first 40, awards to the top 20. Registration 9a-12p and awards at 3p or earlier.
