The Cowboy Will Ride Away come June of 2014.

Today, George Strait annouced the final leg of his 'Cowboy Rides Away Tour'.  This will make the end of any major touring for George in his career.  If you remember when he first announced this tour a year ago, he didn't rule out making a special appearance here and there at events that were special to him, but there will be no more full blown tours from George.

For the final leg of this tour, you can expect the likes of Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Sheryl Crow, Ronnie Dunn, Merle Haggard, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Martina McBride, Vince Gill, Lee Ann Womack and Chris Young to make apperances at various stops along the way.

The tour will begin January 9th in Bossier City, Louisiana and will wrap up with a yet to be announced date, likely sometime in June, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

I admit, I'm kinda bummed there isn't an Indianapolis date for this final tour, but you better believe I'll find my way to Louisville or Nashville....or heck maybe see this legend one more time!

In other George Strait news, he did recently ink a new deal with his longtime record label, MCA Nashville, that will see him record 5 more albums for the label.  So, while he is concluding his touring career early next summer we will continue to hear more great music from George Strait for years to come!
