Could Garth set another record?

As Garth is in the middle of his "comeback" it turns out that he could set yet another record in his career.

When Garth's music begins being sold digitally, he should easily surpass Elvis and then set his sights on The Beatles to become the best selling artist of all time.

A measley 500,000 downloads of his large 18-disc catalog will take him past Elvis.  Currently, he is at 134 million in sales, The Beatles sit at 177 million, so he has a little work to do to catch them but we believe it can be done!

The RIAA does have some guidelines for digital sales, they require a minimum price of $2.00 while Billboard looks at a price requirement of atleast $3.49, if he were to package his catalog as an entire digital box set.

Garth won't be giving his music away, but rumor is he'll offer a good discount for anyone who purchases his entire catalog!

We were excited about hearing some new music from Garth as early as this week, but it now looks like it will be atleast September before we hear a new single, according to his label RCA Nashville.
