Tim McGraw....HITS a female fan?!

Did Tim McGraw strike a female fan at a recent concert?

Tim was performing at Aaron’s Amphitheatre at Lakewood in Atlanta, Georgia this past Sunday night.  Tim was performing on a small stage with fans all around it, when a female fan reached out and grabbed his leg and would not let go.

Tim tried to free himself from her grasp, so much so, that his jeans even tore in the exchange.

This may have just been a spur of the moment reaction, as I'm sure most of us would have if someone would not let go of your leg.  But, as you know, there is always a lot of negative publicity that goes with hitting females.

Tim has refuted these claims in a statement published via Billboard.com

"At the end of the night during the encore, Tim was singing out in the audience and someone firmly grabbed onto his leg and wouldn't let go as he was moving through the crowd. He instinctively swatted to try and keep them from ripping his jeans (which they succeeded at doing), and so he could get to more fans who were trying to slap hands with him before the end of the show. He didn't know who had grabbed him and was trying to keep his pants from being torn."

A second video was then posted that will show the damage done to his jeans!

I guess you will have to be the judge!  But, in my opinon if someone was grabbing my leg, I'd probably swat too!
