Look out for Officers Tony Stewart and Ryan Newman!

I just clicked over to my friends at and read another great story about Officer Brent Long and the ways we continue to remember him.
In addition to David Stremme's #70 Chevy in the Nationwide race Saturday night, decals remembering Brent Long will also ride with Tony Stewart (#14) and Ryan Newman (#39) in Sunday's Brickyard 400, both drivers call Indiana home!
Terre Haute Police Chief John Plasse hand delivered the decals to both Tony and Ryan, Terre Haute Mayor Duke Bennent was also on hand to swear both in and honorary Terre Haute Police Officers.

“We thought it would be more personal if we swore them in as honorary police officers for Terre Haute and give them some things in Brent’s memory,” said Terre Haute Police Chief John Plasse.

“It’s been a tough time lately but this was an opportunity to do something kind of fun and positive and interact with the drivers,” said Mayor Bennett.

Now, we all have even more of a reason to root for some of the drivers that call the Hoosier state home.  David Stremme in the #70 Saturday night, and his #30 car on Sunday as well as the boys from Stewart-Haas racing, Tony in #14 and Ryan in #39 as they honor our fallen hero.
