Thompson Square's new phone usage policy during dinner

I love this idea and need to get back to practicing it at the dinner table every night! Miss life pre-smartphones? We all miss some of the little things we enjoyed before those little distractions in our pockets. My friends and I actually started doing this about a year ago, but like most good things...it faded away. It's the perfect way to bring conversation back to the table! Thompson Square has started this as well and they say they love it! You make everyone sitting at the table for dinner or perhaps a meeting put their phone in a vertical stack (or circle) and the first person to check their phone during the gathering, pays the bill. I kinda like the putting them in a circle idea so you can be teased by your phone's alerts and whoever is texting or tweeting you. See how many phones are in the photo? I count eight smartphones. That could be one expensive dinner!
