Bikes for Tykes

What is your biggest memory from childhood?  For most of us, it is receiving our first bicycle.  HI-99 WTHI, First Financial Bank, News 10 and the Exchange Club of Terre Haute are collecting donations for the 15th Annual Bikes for Tykes campaign. We want to provide bicycles, tricycles and safety helmets to less fortunate children in the Wabash Valley this Holiday season.

HI-99 will be at First Financial Branches throughout the Wabash Valley on Friday, November 16th collecting your donations, but donations may also be made through December 14th  at any First Financial Bank location. Checks or money orders may be mailed to the Exchange Club of Terre Haute.

Bicycle kits are purchased from the Pacific Bicycle Company of Olney, Ill.  Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology students volunteer their time to assemble the bicycles before they are delivered to the children in time for the Holidays.

The Salvation Army of Terre Haute, Covenant Christian Ministries and other community-based agencies are screening and selecting the children on the basis of family financial need.  Families should contact those agencies to inquire about selection procedures.

Donations may be mailed to:
