SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The latest fundraising event for the Sullivan City Pool, set for 9:30 a.m. Sunday, will be a pancake breakfast.
“Pancakes for the Pool” will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 30 at Kat A Korner Diner in Sullivan, Ind.
The Sullivan pool closed back in 2018 because it was in need of several repairs. Construction is well on its way and includes a new slide, bath house and many other features.
Sullivan Mayor Clint Lamb said the community has really stepped up to support the pool’s revitalization.
“This is just another example of how the community has come together,” Lamb said. “Different businesses, different citizens have come up and said we want to make a difference.”
So far, more than $100,000 has been raised for the pool. It is expected to open this summer.
